In a partnership with Sogenave, CTT – Correios de Portugal will proceed with a pilot-project to install the first CTT bi-temperature locker.

With the help of the CTT Lockers, the Sogenave (one of the major national food and non-food delivery operators) employees will be able to benefit from a solution that enables the collection of their purchases in a completely independent way, at the most convenient time and with total products’ safety and quality insurance. The locker will have the Click&Collect special feature to the internal employees that purchase food requiring a controlled temperature/environment.

This Lockers’ prototype can cope with three types of temperature: room temperature, positive cold and negative cold.

The strong investment in the installment of these lockers reinforces CTT’s presence as a strategic partner and strengthens their relationship with companies and customers, enabling these innovative offers with the maximum comfort, convenience, and safety.

Currently, CTT already offer more than 100 lockers, public and private, placed all over the country in intermodal transport platforms, shopping centers, university campuses, physical retail networks or, in the case of corporations, in companies. The target is to expand their network to
1 000 lockers in 2021.

After the success of the pilot-project, we expect to expand the CTT
bi-temperature lockers to other growing contexts.
